William Eugene Barton

September 10, 1935 — January 12, 2022

William Eugene Barton, 86, passed away on January 12, 2022.  He was born on September 10, 1935, in West, Texas, to parents Ernest and Gertrude Barton.

He married the love of his life, Darlene Marie Meaux, on November 27, 1976.  He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City, Texas and a member of the Knights of Columbus.  Bill was a hard worker and loved his family, most especially his grandchildren; they made him smile and were his pride and joy.  He enjoyed being outside and loved animals.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed playing games and watching old western and war movies.  Bill will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Father Bowlin with St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City, Texas, will officiate for the Barton family.
