It is with great sadness that the family of Wesley Henry Guinn 66 announces his passing after battling several years with cancer.
Wesley was born on January 4, 1952 in the small community of Roddy, Texas to Henry and Dorothy Guinn.
Wesley was raised in Mabank, Texas by his grandparents John and Etta Shewmaker. He attended Mabank Elementary from when he continued on to graduate Mabank High School in 1970, then Wesley went on to Henderson County Junior College in Athens, Texas. He finished out his education at East Texas University in Commerce, Texas.
On May 21, 1994 he married Dorothea Spell, since that time he has lived in the Payne Springs area.
He is survived by his wife Dorothea Guinn, 2 daughters; Mandy Bevans and Dannielle Tomlin, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild 2 sisters; Doris Carpenter, Anne McMath, 2 brothers; Floyd Guinn, James Guinn, 1 aunt Jo St. John, cousins Jesse Hicks, along with several nieces and nephews.
Wesley is preceded in death by his grandparents John & Etta Shewmaker, parents, a brothers John G. Guinn, Bobby G. Guinn, sister Rita F. Guinn, nephew Dale Woods Jr. and a cousin Paula J. Hicks.
Bro. George Yarger with the Harbor Baptist Church in Payne Springs will be officiating for the Guinn family.
