Thomas Gene Clayton

Thomas Gene Clayton, 84, passed away on June 16, 2023, at his home in Mabank, Texas.

Thomas was born on February 10, 1939, to Thomas Clayton and Louise (Bosher) Clayton in Duncanville, TX. He was married to the love of his life for more than 50 years.  In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed horses, motorcycles, and John Deere tractors.  Thomas was a man with a great sense of humor.  He loved teasing and spending time with his children and son-in laws.  Thomas was a hard worker and had a successful career at GM before retiring after 26 years

Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Angela  Clayton of Mabank, TX; son, Tony Clayton of Leonard, TX; son, Randy Clayton of Palestine, TX; father, Thomas Clayton of Tool, TX; mother, Louise Clayton of Duncanville, TX;

Thomas is survived by his daughter Teresa Vitellaro and husband Bill Vitellero of Mabank TX; son,    Thomas Clayton of Leonard TX; daughter Frances Cherry and husband Bill Cherry of Dallas TX; brother James Clayton and wife Judy Clayton of Ennis TX and sister Alma Saxton of Tool TX. His legacy continues through his 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
