Steven Fagan age 71, passed away on August 1, 2026, in Mabank, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas on February 7, 1955, to parents Bill and Bobbie (Avant) Fagan.
Steve attended Spruce High School and dedicated 50 years of his life to working as an automotive machinist. He was a hardworking, simple, and unpretentious man who never needed much to be happy. Steve was caring and kind, with a wonderful sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone around him.
Of all his accomplishments, Steve was proudest of his children and grandchildren. They were his greatest joy and the part of his life he treasured most. Steve loved watching his family grow and spending time with the people he loved.
In Steve’s free time, he enjoyed shooting and building guns, working on cars, and, of course, relaxing with a cold Coors Light. He was a hands-on man who enjoyed fixing things, building things, and doing things his own way.
Steve will be remembered for his hard work, his kindness, his straightforward nature, his humor, and the love he had for his family. He didn't need fancy things or a lot of attention. Steve was simply himself—and that was more than enough.
Steve leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and who will carry his memory with them always. His greatest legacy will not be the things he built or the years he worked, but the love, laughter, and memories he gave to his children and grandchildren.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bobbie Fagan; and his grandson, Patric Waymire.
Steven is survived by his wife, Connie Fagan of Mabank, Texas; daughter, Tasha Bayliff and husband Jon of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Christi Carlile and husband Roger of Mabank, Texas; brother, Billy Ralph Fagan of Ash Grove, Missouri; Randy Fagan and wife Ronda of Mabank, Texas; grandson, Matthew Wandmaker of Gun Barrel City, Texas; grandson, Dillon Carlile of Greensburg, Kentucky; granddaughter, Autumn Carlile and husband Trevor of Mabank, Texas; grandson, Devin Waymire of Seagoville, Texas; grandson, Stephen Carlile and wife Chloe of Payne Springs, Texas; nephew, Johnnie Fagan; niece, Melanie Locket; niece, Misty Nuckols; nephew, Brandon Fagan; niece, Ashley Amerson; and 3 great-grandkids.
