Stanley William Sohasky, 63, passed away on March 13, 2023, in Mabank, TX. He was born on August 10, 1959, in Muskegon, MI, to parents William and Mary (Thompson) Sohasky.

Stanley, or "Stan the Man" as he was fondly named, joined the military by way of the United States Marine Corp in 1978. He was stationed in Guam for 3 years during which he spent much of his time with the locals, befriending people and embracing the culture. When his time ended in Guam, he returned stateside and resided in Oceanside, CA until 1982 when he moved to Texas. It was in Texas that his life was radically changed when he met Jenny and Chalahn, his now oldest daughter. Stan and Jenny married in 1990 and began their Australian adventure in 1991. Stan spent 12 years in Australia where he saw the births of Casey, Mikaela, Maeghan, and Josiah  . He spent his time helping his father in law run his nursery business and enjoyed working as a structural welder. Stan and his family returned to the US in 2003.

Anyone who knows him, knows he had an intense passion for sports, particularly golf and spent many hours volunteering at our local food pantry. Stan loved to help people any way that he could. He made an impact on the lives of everyone around him and will be greatly missed.
