Shirley Mae Wall

October 1, 1950 — July 3, 2020

Shirley Mae Wall, 69, passed away on July 3, 2020.  She was born on October 1, 1950, in Dallas, Texas, to the home of N. W. and Betty Loven.

She was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was fearless in her pursuit to make her family happy.  Loving her family is an understatement.   She was crafty and imaginative with making clothes, games, and the most awesome food for her family.  You may have arrived hungry, but she made your favorite food and dessert as well as enough to take home.  She systematically planned for her family to learn our favorite recipes, but her fudge and pear preserves will be forever in our taste buds.  She spent countless hours on the phone while her family drove home from school or work with an encouraging word and persistent support.  Her day was made by seeing her grandkids and great-grandkids enjoy playing and reading them their favorite books. She loved to travel, go to garage sales and flea markets, all the while looking for things to bring her family.  She is our guiding angel whispering in our ears, clearing the rocks in the road, and pushing what we need in our path.  She quietly made her mark on us all and will be forever missed.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ralph; children Teresa Mooney and husband Dusty, Mattie Wortham and husband Douglas, Nora Gail McRight, and Patrick Wall and wife Laura; grandchildren Alicia Tubbs, Elizabeth Bolle, Tony Wortham, Laura Spencer, Noah Morris, Robin Wall, Patrick Wall, Riley Wall, and Shelby Wall; great-grandchildren Carson Wortham, Kaeliahna Wortham, Chloe Wortham, Cameron Wortham, Nicholas Spencer, Chase Spencer, Grace Spencer, Katelynn Bounds, Emmalin Jonas, and Ryanne Bolle; brother William Rachel and wife Glynell; and sister Bobbye McClung; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Betty Miles and Patty Hartford.
