Shirley Jean Hamrick

Shirley Jean Hamrick, age 86, passed away on April 23, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on March 5, 1940, to Frank Henry Alonzo and Margie Almena Mann in Sherman, Texas, as the oldest child of five.

Shirley was known as a jokester who was deeply loved by her many friends and all her family. She worked as an office manager for a number of years and attended Saint Jude Catholic Church. Her forty-nine-year marriage to Charles, starting at the age of fifteen, was a highlight to her life.

Shirley is survived by her son, Chuck Hamrick, Jr., and Laurie; daughter, Nikki Dunn; daughter, Brenda Moore and Tommy; brother, Frank K. Alonzo; 9 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Arthur Hamrick, Sr.; sister, Mary Lynn Smith; sister, Briana K. Routt; sister, Bernadette Derebary; and sister-in-law, Paula Alonzo.
