Russ McAfee, age 72, passed away on April 17, 2025, in Gun Barrel City, Texas. He was born on December 18, 1952.
Russ served in the army from 1972 to 1977, serving as a medic in the Vietnam war, where he proudly served in the 7th Calvary. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was an Expert Marksman with the M15. When he got out of the army, he lived in Florida and Colorado, before settling in Texas. Nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by his children and grandchildren—his pride and greatest blessing. Close to his heart was the open road, where he found peace and freedom riding his Harley.
Russ is preceded in death by parents Clinton and Frances (Sanders) McAfee; and sister-in-law Giselle McAfee.
Russ is survived by his siblings Don McAfee; Lee and Glenda McAfee; Phil and Karen McAfee; Neva McAfee; Scott and Erin McAfee. Children, John Trenton McAfee; Jacob and Yvonne Bouldin; Cody and Lauren McAfee; Julia Bouldin; And he was a loving Papa to Ashlynn Bouldin; Bryce Toler; Kylee Bouldin; Willa Butler; and Archer McAfee; As well as numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
