Robert Ray Smith

Robert Ray Smith, 72, passed away on October 5, 2019.  He was born on March 26, 1947, in Denton, Texas, to the home of Grace and Louise Bernhardt Smith.

After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Marines.  He was deployed to Vietnam, where he bravely fought for our country.  Robert's passions in life were his family, his dogs, and restoring antique vehicles.  He was a loving husband, father, and PaPa.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Tammy; children Tracey Michael and husband Steven, Lesley Gilmore, and Tammy Mathis; grandchildren Keegan Michael, Erin Michael, Trae Browning, and Kloey Browning; brother Max Smith and wife Irma; sisters Dorothy Burris and husband Bobby, Francis Gann and husband Dwight, and Jean Stout and husband Tom; as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter Christi Mathis.
