Robert “Bob” Leonard Janicke, 83, passed away November 12, 2020. Born in Chicago, IL, he joined the US Air Force in 1956, retiring in 1975. After serving 20 years in the military, worked for the US Postal Service.
As a member of the US Air force, Bob served two tours in Viet Nam, earning two Distinguished Flying Cross medals.
He will be remembered as one who enjoyed camping and outdoor activities as well as creating outdoor spaces for the family to enjoy.
He is survived by wife of 62 years, Carolyn Sue, daughter Christine Davis and husband Cliff, sons Rick Janicke and wife Vivian, and Scott Janicke and wife Felicia; Grandchildren: Aaron Bentley and wife Sommer; Amanda Neuwirth and husband Sean Ryan; Marie Parker and husband John; Suzie Janicke; Kimberly Baxley and husband Jerry; Elizabeth Janicke; Alicia Burton and husband Ashley; Cory Janicke and wife Rubi. Bob is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
He will be interred at Dallas/Ft Worth National Cemetery.
