Robert Gene Gosson, 88, passed away on February 23, 2021. He was born on November 4, 1932, in Gladewater, Texas, to Louie B. and Mattie Lilan Gosson.
He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War from June 1953 and honorably discharged in April 1955. On September 16, 1967, he married Marrilou Green. Robert was employed by Texas Instruments for 34 years and 24 days. They moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area in 1974, and Robert served as a Deacon at Harbor Baptist Church in Payne Springs, Texas, was a member of the Cedar Creek Amateur (ham) Radio Club, and volunteered for Special Olympics for the Cedar Creek Lake area. He and Marrilou were avid Winnebago travelers; they had a membership to Thousand Trails Campground and would travel from location to location across the country. Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Robert is survived by sons Terry G. Kelly and Robert J. Gosson; grandchildren Brenna Stephens, Brian Kelly, Stephen Kelly and wife April; great-grandchildren Tanner Kelly-Stephens, Logan Wells, Leyland Watson, and Jayson Kelly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Marrilou, and son Jerry Kelly.
Reverend George Yarger with Harbor Baptist Church in Payne Springs, Texas, will officiate for the Gosson family.
