Bob Frensley was born on December 31, 1928 to Robert and Thelma Frensley in Port Arthur, Texas. He passed away peacefully at home on December 5, 2011.

Bob graduated from Luther Stark High School in Orange, TX in 1947 where he was a member of the Tiger football team and participated in the High School Senate. On January 28, 1950 he married his high school sweetheart Geraldine Stephens. He served on active duty in the United States Army for two years at Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas and served two years in the Reserves. One of his favorite duties was planning fun, recreational activities for his fellow soldiers. Bob graduated from the University of Houston in 1952 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. While in college he was a member of the Alpha Delta Psi Fraternity where he served as President. Bob worked for Transcontinental Gas Pipeline Corporation in Houston, Texas. He was an avid Houston Oiler football fan, having season tickets for years. He was known to sneak out of church early on game days to be one of the first fans in the Astrodome. As a founding member of Sharpstown Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, he served in many capacities, but always longed to be in the choir.

After retiring and moving to Gun Barrel City, Texas in 1988, he enjoyed living on the lake and playing golf. He joined First United Methodist Church of Mabank and loved teaching the ABC Sunday School Class. While teaching the Apostle Paul's epistle to the Philippians he encouraged his class to "Worry about nothinga�"pray about everything!" He had a great love and appreciation for history, great movies, seeing Broadway shows in New York, and Fox News. He also loved to cook and was known for his fabulous shrimp gumbo, crawfish etouffee and fudge. He taught most of his grandchildren to drive and play 42. He also loved planning family vacations, with a family cruise being a highlight for them all.

Bob will be missed by his wife of 61 years, Gerry Frensley, daughters, Diana Anderson of Austin, TX and her husband, Ray, and Sharon Underriner of Kemp, TX and her husband, Ken. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren: Christopher Frensley Anderson and wife, Danielle, Kenneth Tyler Underriner and wife, Ashley, Raymond Kirk Anderson and wife, Rebecca, Kathryn Diana Underriner, Mallory Kay Anderson, and Keaton Daniel Anderson.

Under the direction of Moorhead Epps Funeral Home a memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11 am at First United Methodist Church in Mabank, Texas. Reverend Ray Anderson of Grace Covenant Church in Austin, TX and Dana Coker of First United Methodist Church, Mabank, TX will be officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the ABC Sunday School Class.
