Richard Alan Zafarano

Richard Alan Zafarano, age 47, was born February 11, 1978, in Dallas, Texas, to Richard James Zafarano and Debra Kay Harris Zafarano. Richard left this world to be with the good Lord June 9, 2025, with his loving family surrounding him.

Richard started his career as a truck driver with his dad. Next, he had the opportunity to drive the equipment truck for Kenny Chesney. He married his longtime girlfriend and had a beautiful little girl. Richard then started an inspection station in Lancaster, Texas next to his mother and stepfather's business. He later joined them at Avco Fab as a machinist until they sold the business. Richard took sometime to decide what he'd like to do next. In 2025 he started a new career with Mobile Op4, he loved his new career path.

The main thing about Richard is he was always a happy, loving person with a big heart. Richard always had a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors and his trucks.

He left this world as an organ donor, he will live on in others. The love of his life is his daughter Addison. He will be greatly missed.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Richard James Zafarano and Debra Kay (Harris) Mercer.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Addison Zafarano of Red Oak, Texas; sister, Angela Zafarano of Mesquite, Texas; step-dad, Ronnie Mercer of Mabank, Texas; step-brother, Michael Mercer and wife Mandy of Canton, Texas; step-brother, Cricket Mercer and wife Tonya of Eustace, Texas; step-sister, Missy Mercer of Mabank, Texas; as well as numerous other family, friends, and loved ones.
