Richard Wayne Wilson

Richard Wayne Wilson, age 57, was born on June 2, 1968, in Mesquite, Texas, to parents Richard Arthur and Judy Ellen (Ivy) Wilson.

Richard loved life and all the experiences he gained throughout the years. He was always on the go, indulging in his many hobbies. Racing wasn’t just a pastime for Richard; it was a passion that fueled his spirit. He loved all forms of racing, and his enthusiasm was contagious. Friends and family would often find him glued to the television during race weekends, cheering for his favorites with the fervor of a lifelong fan.

In addition to his passion for racing, Richard was a collector of Hot Wheels. He also enjoyed working on vehicles, finding peace and satisfaction in the mechanical intricacies of cars. Whether it was making repairs or customizing something old into something new, Richard had a natural talent for understanding how things worked.

Richard is preceded in death by his grandmother, Emma Herriage Ivy; grandfather, James Earl Ivy; grandmother, Helen Reckley Wilson; and grandfather, James Asa Wilson.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Katelynn Wilson, sister, Sheila Ford and husband Jerry of Trinidad, Texas; father, parents, Richard and Judy Wilson of Trinidad, Texas; niece, Christina Morgan and husband Bobby Morgan of Trinidad, Texas; nephew, Jacob Ford of Alvarado, Texas; uncle, Danny Ivy of Trinidad, Texas; three grandchildren; as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
