Rebecca "Becky" Lenamond

November 27, 1943 — August 10, 2017

Rebecca (Becky) Lenamond passed away August 10, 2017 at her home in Kemp, Texas after a very short and courageous battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her peaceful passing.

Becky was born in Austin, Texas on November 27, 1943 and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and attended the University of  Texas.  She retired from Republic Bank of Texas in 1988.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mabank, Texas and was endeared by many for her volunteer services to include administrator of the church library, Sunday school instructor, Awana outreach program, work with the children’s nursery and many other contributions.  Becky had many friends in the Cedar Creek lake community where she lived for the last 22 years and where she was a member of the Cedar Creek Country Club where she enjoyed the game of golf and was active in the women’s golf association, serving one  year as president.  She  had a love of flowers and donated her time to various floral landscaping projects on the golf course.  She spent a lifetime giving and doing for others and always had time  for support of family and friends, especially her husband and her golfing partner Billy.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father Mr. & Mrs. H. E. Meadows and brothers Wayne and David Meadows.  She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Billy Lenamond, daughter Susan (Leon) Tishmack, daughter Pat Martin and daughter Shannon Wallace, brother Don (Brenda) Meadows, sister Joan (Eddie) Bostic, sister-in-law Peggy (Jim) Haley, Cheryl Lenamond, Naomi Meadows, Susie (Meadows) Brushaber, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pastor Larry Strandberg with First Baptist Church of Mabank, Texas will be officiating for the Lenamond family.
