In Loving Memory of Rebecca Ann Lore

July 29, 1958 – July 1, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Rebecca Ann “Becky” Lore, who peacefully went home to be with the Lord on July 1st, 2026, at the age of 67. While our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing that she has been made whole again and is rejoicing in the presence of her savior.

Becky was born on July 29, 1958, in Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Radford O’Neil Lore and Patricia Juanita Lore. She was the youngest of five children: Thomas “Andy” Lore, Diane “Dee” Lore, Radford “Neil” Lore II, and Karl Lore. Though she was the youngest, her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to her family and friends left an immeasurable impact on all who knew her.

Becky attended and graduated from St Albans High School in 1976. Shortly after, she built her life rooted in faith, family, and love. Eventually making Texas her home, she lived most of her life in Mesquite before spending her final years in Kemp. Wherever she lived, she created a home filled with love, laughter, and acceptance. She worked as a broker assistant to Jim and Maria Nicholas, who became family to her. Her kindness, dependability, and warm personality were appreciated by those who had the privilege of working alongside her.

To her family, Becky was their pillar of strength. She carried generations with her grace and quiet resilience, offering guidance, comfort, and encouragement throughout every season of life. Of all the roles she had, the one she cherished most was being “Granny.” It was the title she wore with the greatest pride and the one that brought her the deepest joy. She poured her heart into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to make them feel loved. She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Toni Cranford, and son-in-law, Brian Cranford; her son, Steven Guy Poff II; her cherished grandchildren, Krystal Ware, Brian Cranford II, Jacqueline Cranford, Carson Cranford, Adison Marsh, Steven Poff III, and Evan Poff; and her multiple great-grandchildren, who were each a source of endless pride and happiness. She also loved each of her grandchildren’s spouses as her own, welcoming them into the family with open arms and an open heart. Her love extended beyond her immediate family. She shared a close and treasured relationship with her brother Andy and his wife, Liz, and held a special place in her heart for her niece, Hope. Family meant everything to her, and she nurtured those relationships with the purest form of love, compassion, and unwavering support.

Though we mourn her passing, we celebrate a life beautifully lived– a life marked by faith, kindness, and devotion to family. We find peace in knowing that she knew where she was going and that she had been welcomed into Heaven, where there is no more pain, sickness, or sorrow. She is whole again, embraced by the love and grace of her Lord. Her legacy lives on in every lesson she taught, every memory she created, every life she touched, and every heart she loved. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.

Until we meet again, Granny, thank you for every hug, every smile, every prayer, and every moment of unconditional love. You were one of life’s greatest blessings, and our hearts will carry you with us always.
