Patrick Robert Hartnett

Patrick Robert Hartnett, age 71, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Mabank, Texas. He was born on July 18, 1954, in Sioux City, Iowa to parents Raymond and Mary (Maun) Hartnett.

Pat dedicated many years to his career, contributing to the central freight and ECCFWSD for a notable seven years, followed by over ten years with J.C. Construction. While he built a solid career, his proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his children and grandchildren, who he loved more than anything.

Education was an important journey for Pat. He earned his GED and pursued some college studies at TVCC in Athens.

Pat loved to tell stories, always ready with a funny tale that could lighten any mood. His laughter was contagious, making him the life of the party and a friend to many. He enjoyed spending quality time with his children, creating lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.

In his leisure time, Pat found joy in various hobbies, particularly enjoying westerns and action movies. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday, a day that symbolized his love for celebration, family, and togetherness. He also had a passion for fishing, tinkering, woodworking, and gardening, all of which reflected his love for both nature and creativity.

Patrick Hartnett will be remembered for his character, humor, and devotion to family. His presence was a gift to all who knew him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will carry on through his children and grandchildren

Patrick is preceded by his parents, Raymond and Mary Hartnett; sister, Lori Hartnett; sister, Joannie Everett; and brother-in-law Jerry Everett.

Patrick is survived by his son, Robert Hartnett and wife Nicole; son, Joshua Hartnett and wife Randa; daughter, Mary Tuley and husband Justin; grandchildren, Tyler Hartnett, Taylor and Cameron Banghart, Madison and Tavish Gregory, Mercedes Hartnett, Chandler Hartnett, Jaxon Hartnett, Reagan Hartnett, Wyatt Tuley; great-grandchild, Sawyer Banghart; bonus children and grandchildren; siblings, Tony Hartnett, Kathy Berryman, Rose Marie Moss, Mike Hartnett, Ann Hartnett, Peggy HGartnett, Mary Helen Cook, Ronnie Hartnett, Vern Hartnett; as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
