Norman Arnold Melton

Norman Arnold Melton, 82, passed away on May 28, 2021.  He was born on May 5, 1939, in Burkesville, KY, to Melvin and Bonnie Melton.

He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on October 8, 1970, and will be buried at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Norman was just a “good ole country boy.”  He was kind, caring, and loved to laugh and have fun.  He was proud to be from Texas, but he also liked to travel.  He was a truck driver all of his life.  Even at the age of 82, he was still going strong.  He had a black Lab named Winston that was his best friend.  Norman will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughters Norma J. Daugherty, Carolyn Melton, and Becky Henthorn; five grandchildren Samantha, Kristi, Brian, Jessie, and Jeffery.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Inez Carter.
