Margaret Dixie (Brown) Hults, 77, of Kemp, Texas, passed away at UT Health Gun Barrel City on August 7, 2021, after beating COVID 19. She was born on August 18, 1943, in Cortland, NY, to Herbert and Doris Brown.
She was a strong-willed matriarch of the family. She spent her last days doing what she loves most, drinking coffee, watching Nicholas Cage movies, and playing solitaire.
Margaret was the last living of her siblings Beverly, Sandy, Skip, and Chuck. She is now resting with her eldest son, Gerald Thompson, and husband, David Hults.
She is survived by her large family. Children Howard and Lisa Thompson, Tina and Dennis Tracy, Teresa Small and Al Whitting, Susan Cornelius and Alan Courtney, Tammy and Johnny Zinke, Sharon Hults, and Cindy and Jerry Massey; grandchildren Candice, Gerald III, Cameron, Dillon, Kristen, Kristopher, Travis, Anita, Bethany, Amanda, Ashley, Jenile, Timothy Cray, Timothy Calyn, Jimmy, Rachel, Leland, Lacey, Alice; and 22 great-grandchildren.
The family will be celebrating Margaret’s life on her birthday, August 18, 2021. In place of flowers, if you wish to pay your respects, please donate in her name to the American Diabetes Association.
