Lisa Marie Dunning, age 59, passed away on May 6, 2026, in Tyler, Texas. She was born on December 13, 1966, in Alton, Illinois, to father Henry Dunning, Jr. and mother Barbara Nell Carroll.

Lisa lived a life that radiated warmth, kindness, and unwavering support for everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her journey through life was enriched by the simple yet profound joys of caring for others, a calling she fulfilled with genuine grace and dedication.

Lisa earned her GED and became a Certified Nursing Assistant, roles through which she made an extraordinary impact as a caregiver to many wonderful people. She was a rock in the lives of those she touched—very outgoing, always ready to listen intently, and a comforting shoulder to cry on. If someone needed help, Lisa would give the shirt off her back without hesitation. Her presence was a steadfast comfort, a beacon of hope and love during both joyful and challenging times.

Among Lisa’s happiest moments were those spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren. She took immense pride in always being there for them and celebrating their accomplishments, cherishing each milestone with an open heart. Her love extended into countless little rituals—calling her daughter every single morning, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and finding delight in everyday pastimes like playing games on her tablet or phone, pottering around, watching old movies, and playing with her dogs.

The memories of Lisa are countless and too precious for words to fully capture. From laughter-filled conversations and spirited debates to heartwarming family gatherings and tender “momma talks,” she created bonds that will forever be etched in the hearts of those she loved. Every person who knew Lisa carries a special imprint of her—a unique memory, a shared smile, or a comforting word—gifts she gave freely and lovingly. These treasured moments form a tapestry of life well-lived, a testament to the beautiful spirit she was.
