Linda Clark Guthrie

Linda Clark Guthrie, age 77, of Kaufman, Texas, passed away on April 30, 2026. She was born in Texarkana, Arkansas, on September 10, 1948, to parents John and Pearl (Whitt) Clark.

Linda was a proud graduate of Eastwood College, her creative spirit and dedication led her to a rewarding career at LoneStar Gas, where she distinguished herself by designing their mailing envelope—work recognized with several awards. Yet, despite these professional accomplishments, it was her family that she treasured above all. This year would have marked a remarkable 60 years of marriage, a testament to a love as enduring as it was inspiring. Among her happiest memories were the joyous celebrations of her wedding day, her 25th anniversary, and a grand 50th anniversary party that brought together those closest to her.

Linda’s personality was as sparkling as her smile—truly the most bubbly Christian person you could ever hope to meet. Her warmth and effervescence touched all who knew her, reflecting the deep well of faith from which she drew strength. She found delight and purpose in praising the Lord, playing piano, singing, and dancing at church services, activities that allowed her to express the joyful spirit within her.

Those who had the privilege to know Linda will remember her not only for her talents and accomplishments but for the boundless love and kindness she extended to her family and community. Her legacy is woven through the hearts she uplifted and the lives she blessed.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Pearl Clark; son, Kenneth Guthrie; granddaughter, Danielle Guthrie; granny; mother-in-law; and her father-in-law.

Linda is survived by her husband, Edward Hugh Guthrie; son, Edward John Dee Guthrie and wife Amanda; son, Galen Keith Guthrie and wife Misty; daughter-in-law, Donna Guthrie; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
