Laura Collier, age 90, of Forney, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2026. She was born in Dallas, Texas, on March 6, 1936, to parents Fredee W. and Grace Lee (Ruff) Guthrie.
In her life, Laura was happiest when she was serving The Lord, and when presenting her Rose of Sharon message; evangelizing to all where doors opened. Her proudest moments were being ordained as a Minister of the Gospel, and when she opened her Glory of God Outreach Ministry.
When she wasn't preaching the word of God, her creativity shined. Her favorite pastimes included drawing portraits of family members, showing her children and grandchildren how to sew and craft, singing for The Lord, and filling holiday baskets with lovingly baked pies, cookies, cakes and candies.
She also loved being a mother and a grandmother. She is survived by four children, David, John, Terri and Lynda Corbin; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rubert and Edward Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dee and Gracie Guthrie; two brothers, Floyd Dee and Robert Lee Guthrie; two sisters, Patricia Ann Gilmore and Sandra Kay Racio.
