Kadence “KK” Gage Boykin, 13, passed away on October 9, 2022. He was born on December 30, 2008, in Corsicana, Texas.
KK was so very smart and a talented athlete. He loved basketball and music of all kinds. He loved spending time with his family and friends, having cookouts when we all got together. He had a passion for classic cars and was making plans with his dad to remodel our truck. He wasn’t afraid of hard work, especially if that meant he could buy sneakers because that boy loved shoes. He was looking forward to starting a power washing business this summer with his friend. His friends meant the world to him. But most of all, more than anything, that boy loved his brothers.
KK is survived by parents Johnnie and Jessica Boykin, and Keelie and Ted Perdue; brothers Haven Boykin, Kobaine Boykin, Jax Perdue, River Perdue, Phoenix Perdue, Wyatt Perdue, Jaidyn Parman, and James Parman; grandparents Teena Glockzin, Debra Norris, Phil Mixon, and Denice Mixon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Johnnie Boykin, Sr., Mary Boykin, Gary Glockzin, and Tom Current, uncles Joey Boykin and Bobby Stillwell, aunts Deola Boykin and Jerri Fidler, and cousin Josh Boykin.
Pastor Jonathan Lilley will officiate for the Boykin family assisted by Mike Ferguson.
Pallbearers are Johnnie Boykin, Ted Perdue, Haven Boykin, Kobaine Boykin, Rocky Boykin, Johnny Whitworth, and Jimmy Lambert.
