Joyce Ann Kaser

November 4, 1941 — May 6, 2026

Kemp, Texas

Joyce Ann Kaser, age 84, of Kemp, Texas, passed away on May 6, 2026. She was born in Pratt, West Virginia on November 4, 1941, to parents, Clarence and Gladys (Steele) Cole.

Joyce graduated from Millersport High School in 1959. She embraced life with warmth and kindness. Alongside her husband Charles William Kaser, whom she married on May 19, 1962, she managed several businesses including a sub shop, a laundromat, and a pool business. Their partnership was one of mutual support and hard work.

Joyce was a devoted Christian and an active member of Grace Community Church of Mabank, Texas, where she regularly volunteered at the food pantry. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life and extended naturally to her other commitments. Joyce was also proud to be a member of Eastern Star and the Sweet Adelines, organizations she held close to her heart.

Family was everything to Joyce. She was soft-spoken, easy-going, and loved spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She delighted in sharing her home where there was always food and coffee, ensuring no one left hungry. Joyce treasured her time spent with family, playing games, sewing, working on needlepoint and diamond cut crafts, and piecing together puzzles. She also loved yard work and mowing, finding simple joy in tending to her outdoor space.

Joyce was a world traveler. She took memorable trips to Israel, Italy, and Thailand, broadening her horizons through these experiences. She also proudly attended the Cole Skaggs reunions and was related to Ricky Skaggs, ties she valued deeply.

Her proudest accomplishments included her marriage to Charles, her children’s births, and the friendships and connections she nurtured throughout her life. Joyce’s gentle nature, faith, and dedication made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kaser; parents, Clarence and Gladys Cole; sister Betty Wheeler; daughters, Jewelie Bolin and Teri Vandiver; son, Wesley Kaser, grandson, Bobby Bolin; and granddaughter, Robin Smith.
