Joseph Duke Ford, Jr.

August 10, 1957 — February 29, 2020

Joseph Duke “Butch” Ford, Jr. passed away on February 29, 2020.  He was born on August 10, 1957, in Lamesa, Texas, to the home of Joseph Duke Ford, Sr. and Ernestine Levaughn Ford.

Butch was very talented but spent most of his working life driving a truck and drilling water wells.  He loved working on old cars. Butch was a very sweet and thoughtful person with a big heart.  He loved his family fiercely and helped many others in need.  Butch accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized in the early 1970s.

He is survived by his wife Raina; son Joseph Duke Ford III; brothers Charles Ford and wife Karen of Weatherford, Richard Ford and wife Linda of Kansas, and Jimmie Ford and wife Donna of Texas; sisters Claircie Peeler and husband Thomas of Georgia, Donna Gregory and husband J.C. of Mabank, Lee Ella Baker and husband Jack of Malakoff, Mary Pruitt and husband Jake of Canton, and Glenna Ashton of Eustace; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  Butch will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Billy Ford and Kenneth Ford.

Pastor Charles Ford will officiate for the Ford family.
