John Wayne Travess

John Wayne Travess, 68, passed away on February 24, 2021.  He was born on January 27, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to John and Lavern Travess.

John was an artist.  He absolutely loved to draw.  He also loved to fish come rain or shine.  The one thing that stands out the most is how much he loved his family and friends.  John would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help.  As far as the kids go, he spoiled every one of them.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his wife of 14 years, Genia Travess; daughter Tracy Travess; stepdaughter Mona Womack; grandchildren Abbi Wheeler, Ashlyn Allen, Tressie Womack, Libbie Womack, and one on the way; sisters Mary Seradley and Patricia Grigsby; sister-in-law Charlotte Wheeler; niece Alisha Dixon; and several more nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Billy Wheeler will officiate for the Travess family.
