John David Hill

John David Hill, 74, passed away at home on October 26, 2019.  He was born on August 9, 1945, in Hollis, OK to the home of Eugene and May Hill.

John was a retired Navy veteran.  He served 20 years in the Navy and another four years in the Naval Reserve.  He was an avid fisherman and a deeply religious man who thanked God every day for the blessings in his life.  He had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that could clear away sadness.  His kindness, generosity, and loving nature reflected God’s grace on all of us.  He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his daughter Delina Parks and husband Kenneth; son Ronald; niece and nephews Angie, Allen, and Rickie; cousin Lisa; and his beloved grandchildren Dr. Johnathon Benson and husband Carl, Michele Sullivan and husband Timothy, Justin Sullivan, Kelly Whitehead and husband Paul, Joshua, Samantha, Justin Hagewood, J.D. Hill, and Kayla Hill; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 57 years Frances Hill; son Arnold Hill; daughter Stephanie Denise Hagewood; and sisters Joanne George and Jerri Young.
