Jimmy Lynn Finch

September 10, 1940 — April 12, 2017

Jimmy Lynn Finch of Malakoff, Texas went home to his Lord and Savior on April 12, 2017.  He was born September 10, 1940 in Waxahachie, Texas to the home of James Neal & Willie Grace Middleton Finch.  He grew up with a sister Carolyn Rhodes of Arlington, Texas.  And throughout his life he made many friends, but Vernon Rainwator and Jack Fowler always had a special place in his life.

Jimmy was in the graduating class of 1959 of Waxahachie High School.  After high school he went on to Sam Houston University, he studied agriculture education.  In 1961 he joined the Air Force; he was a Staff Sargent at the time of his discharge in 1965.  A few years later, 1975 & 1976 Jimmy decided to return to school at Navaro Community College and got his major in Business Law Enforcement.  Along the way he joined several organizations; American Herford Association, American Rabbit Breeder Association and Southwest Blue Grass Club.  He was a member of Mission Baptist Church in Corsicana, Texas.  He spent 25 working at Auto Zone in Athens, Texas as their manager and in sales.

Jimmy was blessed with three children, a son Jimmy Neal Finch of Mathews, North Carolina, daughters; Donna Liddick of Ft. Worth, Texas, Pamela Finch of Ft. Worth, Texas, step–daughter Samantha Ford of Malakoff, Texas and a foster son Kaleb Ford of Malakoff, Texas.  What really added that sparkle in his eye was his three grandchildren; Neale Austin Finch, Angel Hill & Haelee Hill.  Jimmy also married Sarah Ruth Ford in 2004.  David & his daughter Liz Tans is an extended part of his family.  Jimmy has many other family members and a host of friends that he greatly loved him; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gerald W. Finch and his first wife of 38 years Joyce Marie Henery Finch.

Graveside service will be held at 10 am Friday April 14, 2017 at the Hamilton Beeman Cemetery in Corsicana, Texas.  The Reverend Dale Norris with the Faith Community Baptist Church in Mabank, Texas will be officiating for the Finch family.
