Jimmy Roy Groves

Jimmy Roy Groves, also known as JR, was born on July 17, 1947, in Bridgeport, TX. He passed away on June 13, 2023, at his home in Kemp, TX. JR was a retired truck driver.  He loved to fish and play horseshoes. JR also liked to pick the guitar but the thing he loved to do most was sit on the porch with family. 

JR is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Blanche Wise and stepdad Melvin Herron Wise and daughter, Lurenda Kaye Groves. 

Left to cherish his memory are sons: Jimmy Dwayne Groves and Timmy Groves, daughter Tonya Groves, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, numerous grandchildren, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
