Jesse Jaime Lozano

July 18, 1932 — September 8, 2020

Jessie Jaime Lozano, 88, passed away on September 8, 2020.  He was born on July 18, 1932, in Austin, Texas, to the home of Everardo (Edward) Isabel Lozano Cantù and Pauline Espediòn (Speedy) Castillo Lozano.

Jesse was a U.S. Navy serviceman during the Korean War conflict, a loving father, and an inspirational grandfather.  Throughout his life, he lived the freest way he knew how.  One of his most favorite activities was to go to the horse tracks and bet on the horses he chose through his own mathematical formula where he won a great deal and did his best to share with his family.  We will miss his charming smile, uplifting spirit, and endless stories.  He taught us to love our family and, most importantly, “Don’t forget God.”  We love you and will see you again, and until that time we will never ever forget about you, and we won’t forget about God.

He is survived by his daughter DeeDee Dinah Lozano; grandchildren Thomas Lee Pope, Sarah Dominica Pope, and Pauline Marie Lozano; great-grandchildren Destiana Celeste Lozano, Jeremy Jordan Salazar, and Nya Lynn Salazar; brother Wallace Guadalupe Lozano; sister Dr. Betty Juanelle Pearson, Ph.D.; and many more extended family members.

Jesse is preceded in death by his mother Pauline Espediòn (Speedy) Castillo Lozano and his father Everardo (Edward) Isabel Lozano Cantù; sons Edward Jaime Lozano, David Lee Lozano, and John Richard Lozano; and brothers Gilbert Lozano, Adolph Lozano, and Everardo (Edward/Sonny) Isabel Lozano, Jr

There are no tears in Heaven nor grief of any kind.  I leave this final teardrop to those I've left behind.  Though absent from the body, I'm present with the Lord; the joy of my salvation is now my full reward.
