Jerry Elmo Dupree

December 3, 1934 — August 3, 2021

Jerry Elmo Dupree, 86, passed away on August 3, 2021.  He was born on December 3, 1934, in Tool, Texas, to Charles Henry and Edna Ethel Dupree.

He drove a truck for ICX for many years and was a member of Teamster 745.  Jerry was a family man.  Every year we would take a family vacation; we traveled all over the US.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and it was always a family affair.  The kids did all the cleaning of whatever the catch of the day was.  Jerry was a fair but stern father.  He might punish you and then take you out for ice cream.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by daughters Kathy Chewing and Rebecca Anthony; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Charles Dupree and Carrol Stanley Dupree.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty Lou Dupree; daughters Andrea Tinch and Kimberly Dupree; and son Kenny Dupree; siblings Richard Dupree, Troy Dupree, Chester Dupree, Dennis Dupree, Ruby Jedlicka, Avis Lemmon, Josephine Thompson, and Lois Summerall.

Reverend Ricky Thompson will officiate for the Dupree family.

Pallbearers are Devin Dupree, Michael Dupree, Gabriel Jones, Kieran Goodnight, Allen Pritchard, and Dylan Dennis.  Honorary Pallbearer is Chance Chewning.
