Gun Barrel City

Jason Wayne Langford (49) died peacefully in his sleep the morning of Feb 25th after a series of health complications. Born November 20th 1973 at the Irving Community Hospital, Jason a long time resident of the Gun Barrel City/ Cedar Creek lake area and was the eldest son of Fred and Glennes Langford. Jason graduated from Mabank High School in 1992 and at no point let his schooling interfere with his education.

Jason's indomitable spirit and gregarious nature made him a man of many hats. Jason's career path was one of people. A Jack of All Trades his business was the smile on the people around him. His heart was genuine and his laughter and energy were infectious. He loved his children with the energy of the sun and everyone he touched has at least one good story about him.

So many hot summer days you could find him on the lake with a gang of friends and then sitting on the boat dock those long nights trying to come up with ways to solve the world's problems. His family meant more to him than anything else and he considered so many people to be family.

Jason is preceded in death by his parents; Fred & Glennes Langford. Grandparents; Alton & Bonnie Langford; Jay & Vera Wilkinson

In his passing Jason leaves his loving wife Melannie. Jason is also survived by his six children, his daughters Tuesday (husband Zachary) and Kirstyn and his sons Gavyn, Krew, Blake and Kobey. Also one grandchild Opie Bluemoon (Tuesday) and his brothers Kevin and Adam and their wives Summer and Michelle. Along with nieces, nephews, cousins, an Uncle and Aunt.

Cedar Creek lake and Jason's friends mourn his loss. But anyone who knew Jason knows... " He LIVED everyday of his life."

Services for Jason will be held at Clearview Bible Church on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 3pm.
