Janette Shubert

April 3, 1942 — August 23, 2020

Janette Shubert, 78, passed away on August 23, 2020.  She was born on April 3, 1942, in Athens Texas, to the home of Charles Alexander and Jewel Marie Richardson.

She grew up in Tyler, Texas, and attended Chapel Hill High School.  On July 6, 1958, she married the love of her life Carl Shubert.  She worked for Sears for 14 years and then became a homemaker.  She loved to cook and listen to gospel music.  She was an active member at Faith Community Baptist Church.  Janette was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and was always looking out for everyone.  She was the “glue” that held it all together, keeping everyone in the family informed of events.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Shubert and wife Debbie; grandchildren Justin Shubert and wife Jessica, Jeremy Shubert and wife Meghan, Kimber Smith, Katie Flores, Kelly Shubert, Kassidy Janette Shubert, Rebecca Shubert, and Krystal Reynolds; eight great-grandchildren; sister Jewel Sanchez; daughter-in-law Jeanie Garner Shubert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janette is preceded in death by her parents; son Billy Shubert; step-son Chris Reynolds; and brothers Charles Richardson and Lee Roy Richardson.
