Jacky Timothy Collard, Sr.

Jacky Timothy Collard, Sr., 69, woke up in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was a beloved husband, dad, Pawpaw/Poppy, son, brother, uncle, friend, and believer in Jesus Christ. He came to this world to fulfill his purpose on December 1, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, to parents William David Collard, Sr. and Hazel Roberta Stanley Collard.

In his early years, as the baby of the family, he was known to be mischievous and a jokester. During his teen years, he showed off his roller-skating skills at the skating rink to win over the love of his life and now his wife, Kathy. They married and started a family. Jacky would lead this family to Christ while making many memories along the way. He enjoyed going to the drive-in with his wife, playing softball with the church league, listening to and holding his baby girl, hunting and fishing with his son, and skiing at the lake or on the mountains with them all. In recent years, he has enjoyed Sunday dinners with not only his wife and kids but his grandchildren as well.

Jacky was a Christian that shared and demonstrated the love of Christ everywhere he went. He used his construction company, TJCK Construction, not only as a way to provide for his family but also to serve others. Family was very important; he lived for his wife, his children, and his grandchildren. There was not a day go by that he did not talk to his kids. Jacky had a way of making everyone feel like family. His biggest goals in life were to make sure everyone he met knew that he loved them, Jesus loved them more, and for everyone to come to have a full personal relationship with Christ.

He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 50 years, Kathy Collard; daughter Chasity Mixon and husband Grover Lee; and son J.T. Collard, Jr. and wife Tamica. He was a proud Pawpaw/Poppy to Cheyenne Collard, Trey Collard, Presley Mixon, Grayson Mixon, and Bella Day. He was a member of a large family, including brother Billy Collard and wife Sherry; father-in-law Marvin Moore; sister-in-law Elaine Day; brothers-in-law Ivan Day and wife Pat, Jim Moore and wife Sherry, and Randy Moore and wife Lisa; and numerous nieces and nephews including Troy Turner and wife Tammy.

Jacky is preceded in death by his parents William and Hazel Collard; brother James Collard; sisters Hazel “Sissy” Fields and Darlene Goodwin; and mother-in-law Marjorie Faye Moore.

Pastor Adam Key, with Old Bethel Missionary Church in Canton, Texas, will officiate for the Collard family.

Pallbearers are Troy Turner, Trey Collard, Grayson Mixon, Randy Moore, Jim Moore, and Sean Cheek.
