Gene Allen

Gene W. Allen 74 of Mabank was born November 25, 1940 in Corsicana, TX to the home of Haney Jack Allen and Norma Elizabeth Carter Allen and passed away at his home April 15, 2015. He worked in Dallas for thirty years as a custom furniture finisher and was a self taught handyman helping many friends and neighbors with their home repairs. Gene is survived by his wife of 56 years Doris Allen, children Sharon Kay Cantrell, Donna Gene Crudup and her husband Roger, Steve Allen, sister Janice Miller and her husband Don, grandchildren Christy Cantrell fiancAC. Eddie, Amy Lopez and her husband Carlos, Brad Crudup, Scott Crudup, Cody Allen, great grandchildren Bella Anderson, Bryson Vongkhaophet, John'Carlos Lopez and a nephew that grew up with gene and was like a brother David Potts, numerous other family members and many friends who will all dearly miss him. He was preceded in death by his father Haney Jack Allen, mother Norma Elizabeth Allen two brothers Jack Allen, Dave Allen and a sister Patsy Lindley. A memorial service will be held 12:00 Saturday April 18, 2015 at the Moorhead Epps Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Wayne Pitchford officiating.
