Gary Dell Newman

June 23, 1948 — August 3, 2020

Gary Dell Newman, 72, passed away on August 3, 2020.  He was born on June 23, 1948, in Dallas, Texas.

He grew up and lived in Garland, Texas, for many years, then later moved to Tool, Texas, in 1993, where he resided until 2019.  Gary joined the Marine Corp after high school and later worked as an auto mechanic.  He loved football, especially the 49ers and Texas Longhorns.  Gary was devoted to family and friends; his friendships were life-long.  He was a man that was always there for others.  Gary and Mickey Lynn had many years of friendship, and for the past six years, the Lord gave them an everlasting love for each other.  Gary was rewarded The Eagle Scout Award.  Anyone that knew Gary knew that he was a kind, loving, and caring man who also loved to pick on you and joke around.  He was always lighting up the room.  If he loved you once, he loved you always.  Gary will be remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife Mickey Bigham; son Mike Newman; grandchildren Faith Newman and Nikita Newman; great-grandchildren Whitney Green and Waylon Green; and numerous cousins.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents Ray Newman and Marie Trammell Newman; children Gareon Newman and Susan Newman; and sister Ann Meazle.
