Freddie “Chigger” Brim, age 59, of Ennis, Texas, passed away on September 30, 2025, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on July 6, 1966, in Ennis, Texas, to Freddie Leo Sr. and Billie Lavonne (Hullshouser) Brim.
Freddie was a true enthusiast of life. He loved to ride motorcycles and work on vehicles, he loved his animals, including his favorite dog, Harley who went everywhere with him and loved him dearly. Freddie would cheer for the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys on Saturdays and Sundays and would spend time with his family and friends every chance he had. About six years ago, he survived a devastating motorcycle accident that cost him his leg and nearly his life. Rather than letting that define him, Freddie used it as a reminder to focus on what truly mattered—treasuring the important people in his life and savoring the time he had with them.
Freddie loved to spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren He found no greater joy than watching his grandkids grow and being able to spend time with them whenever he could. Family gatherings and outings were something he lived for and cherished with all his heart. Everyone that knew Freddie heard about his grandkids nonstop and heard how proud he was of them.
Freddie was also a man of faith and a devoted Christian. He trusted in the Lord through life’s trials, and his strength and resilience were a reflection of that faith. Freddie now rests in the arms of his Savior, and his family takes comfort in knowing this is not goodbye, but “see you later.”
Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, Freddie Leo Sr., and Billie Lavonne (Hullshouser) Brim, and siblings, Shelia Thompson and Teresa Brim.
Those left to cherish the memories of Freddie include his loving wife of 19 years, Bonnie Brim; his sons, Freddie “Trey” Brim and wife Cassie Brim, and Ryan Brim and wife Morgan Brim; his sisters, Sheila Thompson and Teresa Brim; and his grandchildren, Layne Brim, Marley Rhea Brim, Blake Head, Kye Brim, and a grandchild on the way, Phoenix Brim. He is also survived by many extended family members and countless friends who were like family to him.
Freddie will be remembered for his resilience, his love of family, his faith in God, and the joy he brought to those around him.
