Everett Charles Rains, Jr.

Everett Charles Rains, Jr., 18,  left this world for his heavenly home on November 11, 2019.  He was born on January 8, 2001, in Mesquite, Texas, at 7:38 p.m. weighing in at 7lbs 9ozs and 19” long.  He was born to parents Everett Charles Rains, Sr. and Rebecca Lee Rains.

Everyone loved Everett, especially the ladies.  He was so handsome and had the best smile.  He was always good for a laugh, joking around, freestyling, or just being plain goofy.  He thought he had to take up for everyone and be everybody’s hero.  He was all of our protectors.  Everyone said Everett was their best friend because he was.  You couldn’t be around him and not love him, and he never knew a stranger.  He would give you his last dollar if he thought you needed it. Everett impacted everyone’s life that he met and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Everett is survived by his parents; brother Ethan Rains; sisters Bree Rains, Emma Rains, Elisabeth Rains, and Erica Rains; grandmother Allison Lawson; great-grandmother Ruth Lawson; nephews Parker Mitchell and Carter Mitchell; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother Emma Lou Rains; and grandfathers Frank Rains, Jr., and Michael Lawson.

Bro. Shawn Garrett of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Kemp, Texas, will be officiating for the Rains family.
