Ethor Joseph Singleton

Ethor Joseph Singleton, 74, passed away on August 15, 2019.  He was born on February 2, 1945, in Morgan City, LA to the home of Leo Eugene and Dorothy Agnes Singleton.

He was a veteran of the US Navy.  He served on board the naval ship USS Ranger .  He was involved in the pickup of the Apollo 16 astronauts.  He worked on an offshore oil rig in Alaska.  He was interested in archeology, hunting, and fishing.

Joe is survived by his children Chris Singleton and wife Cindy, and Jon Singleton and girlfriend Peggy; brothers Leo Singleton and wife Samm, and Richard Singleton and wife Linda; grandchildren Taylor Christian, Casey Singleton, Chloe Singleton, and Chelsea Singleton; great-grandchildren Witten Christian and Maverick Christian; nieces Mary Wilson and husband Jim, and Missy Williams and husband Glen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Dawn Singleton; sister Carol Schultz; nephew Michael Pierce; and best friend Kenneth Donawho.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
