Edith Ina Petton

Edith Ina Petton left her earthly home to meet her husband, Paul, in Heaven on August 17, 2019.  She was born on July 25, 1931 in Durant, OK to the home of Zebe Dee and Lula Edith Case.

She was a very devoted and loving wife and mother.  She was a good cook, and with a family of 7, she spent a lot of her time cooking.  If she had any spare time she enjoyed quilting and needlepoint.

She is survived by her children Paul Michael and wife Joann, Jesse Dee, Edith Anne and husband J.W. Ney, Kathryn Lynne and husband Jimmy Lynch, and Edward Lee; brother Leroy Case and wife Terry; grandchildren Aaron Petton, Chris Petton, Jeff Petton, Billy Petton, Jessica Ney, Tony Salmon, Jennifer Steadham and husband Justin, Jeremy Lynch and wife Alison, Joshua Petton, and Bailey Petton; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Raymond Petton; her parents; grandchild Joseph Salmon; brothers Wesley Case and D. J. Case; daughter-in-law Marilyn Petton; and granddaughter-in-law Crystal Petton.

The family would like to thank the staff of Caring Hearts Hospice for the caring love they showed Edith and the family during this difficult time.

A private burial was held at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery.  A family gathering to honor Edith’s life will be held at a later date.
