Earl Laird Key

Earl Laird Key was born to Earl and Barbara (Dickard) Key on June 24, 1946, in Travis, TX.  Earl passed away on May 5, 2023, in Tool, Texas.

Earl enjoyed a lifelong career as a Master Electrician. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand and share his knowledge with others. Earl had a passion for fishing and hunting, having previously been a troop leader he found great joy in teaching the kids about the great outdoors. He was also a very active member of the Big Rock Gun Club. Earl was a wonderful father, grandfather, teacher, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Barbara Key; and son, Jackson Wheeler.

Earl is survived by his wife, Della Key of Athens, TX; son, Gene Olsen and wife Alicia of Mabank, TX; grandson, Terry Olsen of Mabank, TX; and grandson, Carson Olsen of Mabank, TX; and many, many friends.
