Donna R. Easley

Donna Ruth Easley, 60, of Eustace, Texas, passed away Friday, October 2, 2020.  She was born on January 6, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to the home of Elvin and Wanda Varnado.

Donna worked for Dr. Pepper in Irving, Texas, for 11 years and Quadrem in Plano, Texas, for 9 years.  In 1996, she and Charles, along with their family, started a trail ride called The Easley Trail Ride; all the donations went to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas.  Donna loved life; she enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, and collecting, and she was a collector of many things.  More than anything she loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.  Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donna is survived by her children Shannon Easley and her friend Frank Scott, David Easley & his girlfriend Courtnee Bell, and stepdaughter DeAnna Browning and her boyfriend Scott Spurgeon;  6 grandchildren Mallory Pfeifer and her husband Matt, Brantley Easley, Chandler Easley, Zane Easley, Leyla and Emoree; an uncle Junior Varnado; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 33 years, Charles Russell Easley; brothers David Varnado and Steven Varnado; and half-brother Homer Varnado.

Reverend Dan Gurley, with First United Methodist Church in Mabank, Texas, will officiate for the Easley family.

The family requests that memorials be made to the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Dallas in honor of the Easley family.
