Donald "Don" Wayne Blackard, 62, was born on September 22, 1948 in Haskell, TX to the home of Jeff L. Blackard and Hilda Florine Graham Blackard; passed away on March 25, 2011 in Tyler, TX. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Kristy Altman Blackard; children, Brandie Kirksey and husband, Paul, Kristilen Blackard, Keesha Fullington and husband, James; brother, Jay Blackard and wife, Julie; mother, Hilda Blackard; five grandchildren and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Blackard. Don always said "Given enough time and money, I can fix anything". Among his many interests were: the sport of racing, listening to talk radio and working in his shop. Memorial services were held at 2:00 on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Moorhead Epps Memorial Chapel in Gun Barrel City, TX.
