Debra "Debbie" A. Mathis

Debra "Debbie" A. Mathis, age 62, of Ringling, Oklahoma, passed away on November 21, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1963, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to parents Thurman Davis and Cecilia Johnson.

Debbie will be remembered for her joyful spirit and infectious laughter. Those who had the pleasure of her company will fondly recall her happiness, an uplifting presence that could brighten the dullest of days. She was not only a devoted professional but also a loving daughter and a proud mother. One of her greatest joys was the special bond she shared with her daughter, Chandra. They created countless beautiful memories together, from delightful mom-and-daughter dates filled with trips to the nail salon and savoring Chinese food to quiet moments filled with laughter and love.

Her relationship with her mother, Cecilia, was a remarkable journey of friendship and growth; they grew up together as best friends, sharing the ups and downs of life with unwavering support for one another. The memories of their time spent together will forever linger, evoking warmth and affection.

Education came effortlessly to Debbie, as she excelled in school without the need for extensive study, passing all her classes with ease. This admirable trait mirrored her approach to life—full of grace and a touch of whimsy.

Beyond her professional and academic accomplishments, Debbie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She treasured her farm and garden, relishing every moment spent tending to her beloved animals. Her passion for reading allowed her to escape into different worlds, while her love for Christmas movies filled her home with the spirit of the season year-round.

Debbie is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Davis.

Debbie is survived by mom Cecilia and step-dad David Uley of Eustace, Texas; daughter, Chandra Cooper and wife Tiffine of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughter, Christy Travis of Ft. Forth, Texas; boyfriend, Steve Barnes of Ringling, Oklahoma; grandson, Zak Travis of Ft. Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Maddie Travis of Ft. Worth, Texas; grandson, Langston Cooper of Ft. Worth, Texas; brother, John Cathey of Eustace, Texas; as well as numerous family, friends, and loved ones.
