Cynthia Marie Compton

Cyndie Marie Compton passed away on March 17, 2021.  She was born in Redding, California, on April 4, 1960.

She has been married to her husband, Gary Compton, for 35 years.  She was a caring and loving person serving others whenever she could and particularly enjoyed serving in the KIROS ministry.  She has had many medical struggles throughout her life but pushed through all the pain to serve her family and community.  She worked as a bookkeeper for over 40 years in the Seattle area but moved to Texas three years ago.  She has attended Wildwood Baptist Church since arriving in Texas.  Cyndie loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and cherished spending time with her family.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Compton; her father, William Downing; her siblings, Debbie, Wayne, and Brenda; her best friend and sister-in-law, Velma; her six children, Tanya, Trisha, Amber, Steven, Micah, and Megan; her 19 grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; and a vast extended family.

Cyndie is preceded in death by her mother, Rose Downing; her great-grandchild, baby Lorenzo Beamon; and her grandparents, Amos and Francis Valencia.
