Clifford Clifton Pleake

October 3, 1923 — April 1, 2021

Clifford Clifton “Cliff” Pleake was born October 3, 1923 in Jefferson City, Missouri to the home of Verner Clarence Pleake and Ethel Mae Savage Pleake and passed away at his home in Gun Barrel City on April 1, 2021.

Cliff was an Army veteran of World War II,  a lab technician at the Veterans Hospital for many years, co-owned  Shirley’s Café in Mabank, was a fishing guide on Cedar Creek Lake and hosted a fishing show on television.

Left to cherish his memory are his children Carl Pleake and his wife Frankie, Jeanie Weininger, Donna Marie Shinpaugh, Ronald Pleake and his wife Donna Kay, Dylan Jeffery and his wife Brook, a  brother Ford Pleake, numerous grandchildren and  several great grandchildren, other family members  and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, a brother Clarence, and a sister Virginia.
