Claude Ray Johnson

Claude Ray Johnson of Gun Barrel City, Texas went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2017.  He was born September 7, 1938 in Dallas, Texas to parents James Claude & Jessie Beth Shufeldt Johnson.  He grew up in a loving home with two sisters; Frances Ann Morgan & Nona Faye Hall and a brother, Tommy Johnson.

After graduating high school in 1957, Claude met this beautiful lady and 1958 he married Shirley Luttrell.  He joined the Coast Guard and spent 8 years serving this great country of ours.  Claude has four children; Donald Ray Johnson, Kristina Marie Johnson, Beverley Ann Turner and Glenda Sue Morris.  He was employed for Dresser - Halliburton in Dallas for 30 years.  Once he retired he was able to spend his time with what really made his heart smile, his 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Claude has many other family members and a host of friends who loved him; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Mostly he cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.

Claude is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, one sister and a grandson Jason Stone.

Rev. Emma Dixson with the Faith Family Church in Eustace, Texas will be officiating for the Johnson family.
