Charles Harvey Yarbrough, 77, passed away on September 1, 2019, at his home. He was born on January 30, 1942, in Dearborn, Michigan to the home of Hartley Alfred and Mildred Louise Yarbrough.
He later moved to St. Joseph, Missouri where he lived most of his younger years. He enjoyed being outdoors with his three brothers and building things that could get them into trouble.
At age 16, Charles moved from Missouri to Illinois where he finished high school. He dabbled in computer school which then resulted in meeting his wife, Lynne. Charles and Lynne had three daughters they raised and cared for, even if it meant Charles working three jobs. Even at a young age, he was labeled a “hard worker,” and that’s exactly what he was.
In 1975, the family moved to Texas where Charles became an owner-operator of the McDonald’s Franchise locations in the Dallas/East Texas areas. He retired in 2000 to focus on his family, his love for building houses and watching his grandchildren grow.
In his final years, he never met a stranger. He always lit up a room and never had trouble making anyone laugh. To know him was to love him, and he will be loved always and missed dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lynne; children Sandra Brown and husband Terry, Kelly Yarbrough, Laura Beckleman and husband Michael; brothers Hartley Yarbrough, Darrel Yarbrough and wife Jalana; grandchildren Michael Brown and fiancé Kelsey Nallie, Ryan Brown and fiancé Kelci Hill, Colton Yarbrough, Kyle Kurak, Cameron Kurak, and Kelsey Kurak.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Dale Yarbrough.
