Carroll “Dan” Daniel Houston

Carroll “Dan” Daniel Houston, 72 passed away on July 26, 2018.   He was born on October 22, 1945 in Kaufman, Texas to the home of D. S. & Avris Lafern Houston.

“Dan” as all his family and friends knew him attended Crandall High School.  He enlisted in the Marines and served our country proudly.  Later he studied and became a barber.  In Dan’s spare time he enjoyed watching football and spending time with his family and friends.  He never met a stranger; he truly cherished everyone that he came in contact with.

Dan is survived by his mother Avris Lafern Houston McGibboney; brother Baily Houston & his wife Laura Kay; sister Betty Gardner & her husband Roy Gene; his children Danny Edward Houston & his wife Cindy, Shelia Houston & Melony Houston; 5 grandchildren Daniel, Dylan, Makenzie, Hailey & Cody and 1 great-grandson Vincent.  He has many   nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.  Dan will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Dan is preceded in death by his dad D. S. Houston and a sister Pamlynn “Pam” Martin.

Dr. Jeff Campbell will officiate for the Houston family.
