Carrie Aline Bogden, age 81, of Gun Barrel City, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2026. She was born in Dawson, Texas on July 10, 1944, to parents, Walter Garner and Carrie Lee (O'Field) Middleton.
In her younger years, Carrie was a burlesque dancer, taking pride in showing off her unique flair and infectious humor. Her talents didn't end there; for over 40 years, Carrie dedicated herself as a store manager, where her straightforward nature and no-filter personality made her a remarkable presence. She had an uncanny ability to tell it like it was, leaving those around her in stitches with her hilarious quips and witty observations.
Carrie adored spending time with her daughters, Jackie was her "baby girl," most known as the responsible one, and Lillian, known as the "big girl," often carried the role of the rebellious one, but both daughters held a special place in Carrie's heart.
Beyond family, Carrie had a variety of interests that kept her busy. She found joy in garage sales, shopping, and playing the lottery, always looking for the next big find or chance at luck. Dancing remained a passion throughout her life, and she loved to share that joy with others. Carrie also took great pride in helping care for her granddaughter, Denise.
Among her proudest accomplishments was earning her GED, something she cherished deeply. She also beamed with pride at the successes of her daughter Jackie and granddaughter Julia, celebrating their achievements as if they were her own.
Carrie is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Carrie Middleton; husband, Francis Howard Bogden; brothers, Harvey Middleton, Roy Middleton, Gene Middleton, and Jay Middleton; and sisters, Katie Middleton Gunter, and Joanne Middleton.
Carrie is survived by her daughter, Jackie Bogden, of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Lillian Lawson Rogers and husband Albert Rogers of Gun Barrel City, Texas; granddaughter, Julia Bogden of Wylie, Texas; granddaughter, Denise Bogden of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughter, Frances Jones of Gun Barrel City, Texas; grandson, Albert Rogers III of Gun Barrel City, Texas; grandson, Joseph Donald Wayne Lawson of Seven Points, Texas; grandson, Zachary “Donnie” Thielen of Gun Barrel City, Texas; grandson, Christian Albert Rogers of Canton, Texas; granddaughter, Tanya Lawson Byerly and husband Aron of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandson, Brian Lawson and wife Rachel of Mt.
